• This AirHEAD 5 XL pneumatic press is equipped with a powerful multi-stage pneumatic cylinder with 3 ton capacity.
   

• The space-saving footprint of 10 x 18", suited for benchtop applications.
   

• A top of the line Wilkerson FRL is to protect and to ensure the long service life of the cylinder.
   

• Like all of our custom AirHEAD 5 pneumatic presses, it is ideal for fast-paced production, using the velocity of up to 120 inches per second.
   

• Custom metal stamping dies or tooling can be easily mounted to the cylinder’s RAM through 3 easily accessible bolt holes.
   

• The lower mounting plate has 4 threaded holes. The plate is removable with ease to add custom mounting and locating features.
   

• This 3 ton pneumatic punch press is equipped with two push buttons that require only a gentle touch to activate, saving the operator from fatigue.
   

• The punch press is equipped with a delay timer that can be set from 0.1 – 30 seconds. After the two push buttons activated the cylinder extends and stays extended until the set timer value. The cylinder returns to its normal position of its own. The push buttons don’t need to be held for this time period.
   

• The cylinder is equipped with Vortool’s unique exhaust air diverter. It is to protect the operator from a sudden airflow that is blown out at the front of the cylinder.
   

• For added safety, the press has two Lexan safety guards. One fixed barrier is at the back and another is at the front. The front guard slides up and down. At up position the two push buttons are covered, preventing accidental activation of the cylinder. 
   

• All Vortool Manufacturing AirHEAD 5 presses have a name plate with a serial number and the date when it was manufactured. The name plate also have a QR code that can be easily scanned with any smart phone. The dedicated web page (unique to this press) contains all the specifications that might be needed. Additional information can be put on this page or pages, including data with enties for e.g. maintenance or for production tracking purposes.
